Change is inevitable, except in vending machines

I've had to see different specialist lately. And I have left their offices grateful but, wondering...how is it one decides to be a 'butt' doctor, (to the mature in the crowd...a GI doc) or a 'twat' doctor (ob-gyn). What??? Twat is better than other words!?! Which led me to thinking some more. I work at a telephone all day. I don't like to talk on the phone much when i get home. My love, he works with computers...he doesn't use the computer hardly at all after 5. So does the va jay jay doc go home, and say to the wife, "I've been looking at those all day...i just can't tonight huney?" That would suck to be that wifey! Also those sample collectors....worst job ever. Think you've had a ruff day...imagine the lab tech who spills on his/her shoes that day!! YUCK!! YUCK!!Kudos to all of you who can do these jobs. I would tip you if i could!
So ya...been up to some major hard thinking there. Also fun has been:
EASTER!!! The bunny showed up:And I made Mini Me an awesome breakie in bed:My love and I painted together, and I have some new decor for walls I'm selling:
I colored my hair brown for a change:

Spring has sprung and I'm spoiled:

and in love!!!And that's all for today. Over n' out for now!

Things That Make Me Go Hmmm??

Somethings that are just inconceivable to me...

1. Nose picking drivers - Next time you're en route take a look at those around you. Alot of people diggin' up there schnozes. It's like they think they are invisible. They are not.

2. Where my socks go - I wash them, I dry them. They disappear. Where are they now?

3. Why children don't eat crusts - Is there some sort of conspiracy going around? Who tells them crusts are yucky?

4. Algebra - Numbers AND letters. Why?? Letters belong in English. Numbers in math. I stop right there

5. Why people insist on waiting in drive thru, rather than go into the building - Unless you're in your slippers than GO IN.

6. Lifting up the hood - Whenever my car is having issues, I get out. Prop up the hood. And then realize that there is no "Fix Me Here' button. I have no idea what I'm looking for. I just know that I am supposed to check there, so I do. But what I expect to find....dunno???

7. The illiteracy billboard - This is gonna sound mean...but if they can't read....how are they gonna read the billboard and call the number listed??

8. Muffin Tops - Why do you think this is attractive? It's NOT sexy to have your spare tire hanging out for all to see. Tuck it in. Cover it up. PLEASE!!!!!!!

9. The phrase, "I have something important to tell you...but i'll have to tell you later!" - Why must you waste words? Peak my interest and leave me hanging? Why not just tell me later then? If it's so important, then it shouldn't wait!

10. Sayings - "Cute as a button" Since when is a button cute? "I could eat you up" RUN!!!! "You're the cat's pajama's" Cats wear pj's? And if so, then how am i like that? Is it a good thing or bad? "I'll clean you're clock" Sure...it is getting rather dusty! "You can't have your cake and eat it too" Why not? Why have cake and not eat it? "It's raining cats and dogs " Whoa...this i gotta see....

Three Words

Eat.Pray.Love

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lO7Gx7zCBjw

Can't wait to see the book in live action!

Out of the depths

So I came across some relics. Was going thru memory boxes...treasure chests as they seem to me. Pictures, mementos, old concert tickets, cards, and old notes. Amongst the chapters of a life, was were my college writing assignments...well all those that I kicked major ass on.

10 distant years ago, I was asked to write about best 5 mins of my young life...

This is what I got 95% on (yay lil me!)

Love at First Sight

Hospital lights make people looks so ugly. You know what I mean, those flourescent yellowish ones. They just shone off the pure, white hospital walls. It's also disgusting how clean everything is. I could just smell the disinfectant. Even more so when I'd never been in so much pain in my life...or so embarrassed! Just go ask someone to run over you for 22 hours while six people state at your naked body, then you'll know exactly what I mean.

Have you ever wondered if you could push so hard your eyes pop out of your head? Exactly how is something the size of a watermelon, supposed to be squeezed through something the size of a lemon? That's what was whirling through my drugged, and exhausted state of mind. Also, Chicken McNuggets, with yummy barbecue sauce, a medal for being so brave and strong, and flowers, because well...I deserved them. Buth then reality hit me, like a semi-truck hitting a brick wall. This was no time to be daydreaming of watermelons, lemons, and Chicken McNuggets. I was having a baby! I, of course, was the first woman alive to go through so much horrid pain.

If only I could remember to breath. My mohter reminded me constantly, while my big, brown eyes stared at her with that glazed, deer-in-the headlights-look. I squeezed her hand in mine trying not to think of the monitor beeping in the background, or the belt tightly wrapped and itching around my enlarged belly, or all the tubes and needles sticking out of my arm. I tried not think of watermelons, or Chiken McNuggets. And how ugly, and sweaty I must look under the horrendous lights to the two doctors, three nurses and two parents in the room. How totally embarassed and humble that made me.

"Push Sara," "Harder Now," "Breathe," "You're doing a great job honey." The voices whirled around me like a tornado; I prayed for more drugs. So I tried to breathe. i panted and heaved with everything in me.

"It's a girl!" The worst pain imaginable was over, and all i could say was, "What?" There goes the theory about mother's instinct. They held her up so that I could see my daughter for the very first time. She was a lot bigger that I had anticipated, and so were her nose and feet. Also a lot gooier. She looked like someone had spilled blueberrry yogurt all over her. But, even under the ugly, flourescent hospital lights, she was beautiful. The pain just vanished, and a jumble of new feelings sort of crept its way from the tips of my toest, the top of my crown. It was a mixture of surprise, anxious, proud, even a little nervous; but above all it was love. they tooke her away to clean the 'yogurt' off, and to weigh her. My Dad went to make phone calls, and my Mom went to get me Chicken McNuggets. When they brought her back we were alone.

She was wrapped in a soft, warm, fuzzy blanket just like a newborn should. I grasped her little-wee hand in my much larger one, and she opened her swollen, big blue eyes. Time just stood still, as we stared at each other. I was her Mommy. I never felt so lucky as one tiny, wet tear slithered down my cheek. Some people say that there is no such thing as love at first sight. They could never be so wrong.

I got 100 % on my story about an influental person in my life. This story was also entered into the Chicken Soup for the Souls books.

My Shannie

Shannon and Sara. "The Girls," everyone calls us. Not two seperate individuals, but like one person. Although if you didn't know us, you'd probably never come to that conclusion. My Shannie is dark, quiet, and patient, shy and calm, level headed and wise. Things I could never claim to be. If life were a fable I would be the bad girl, and Shannie would be the good girl. She's my total opposite, but nearly my twin. Sounds weird, but she's my sister, so that makes it normal.

Shannie is 13 months older than I am, so technically she's my older sister. I say technically, because most of the time it seems she's my younger. this bully of a boy would pick on Shannie in elementary school. he would pull her long brunette braids, call her names, and push her around. So she called me, the outspoken, tomboy little sister. The bully never bother her again. Shannon and our stepmother maybe had one arguement. On the other hand, her and I got in plenty. I was Shannies' protector. I would stick up for her to anyone about anything. It was kind of like the strong protecting the weak. Not the Shannie's weak, she just is too kind, and quiet to speak her mind or, "yell" at anyone.

We always used to play pretend. That was our favorite. On the other hand, maybe it was my favorite and I made her play. We had a little spot down by the creek. We decided its name was Little Duck Mountain Creek. Fantasies happened down there. Unicorns, heroes, princesses, princes, witches, and I swear this is true, one day we heard fairies. Shannon always got to the witches, the boy characters, or Cauly...the name I made up and didn't like. She'd always say, 'Say I'm the princess today." I'd reply, "I'm the princess today." I drive her crazy most of the time, I think.

One warm summer day, I made petrified, little Shannon walk across the log that went across the creek. I inched her to the midle of the log where she would go no further, nor back. So we sat there, and pulled up our old, ratty farm overalls and dangled our feel in the cool water. It mush have looke like a picture. Two little farm kids. One with long dark braids, the other with long blonde pigtails. As the birds chirped in the trees, and the creek rushed under our dirty, little toes we talked about the future.

I was going to marry the cute guy from the Archie comics. I would arrive at the church in a carriage drawn by horses...a pretend Princess, remember? I would wear the biggest, grandest white dress, and she would be my maid of honor. Then I'd have a girl, and a boy in that order and she'd be Auntie Sahnnon. Her idea of the future varied slightly. She'd marry that cute guy from the Archie comics too. She'd have a quiet, little outdoor wedding, and wear a simple dress. I'd be her maid of honor. Then she'd have a boy and a girl in that order, and I'd be Auntie Sara. We would be around 20, because that was old. She'd do this first because she was older.

An older sister is supposed to do everything first. Then she is to teach it all to you. In our case things worked out different. I taught my Shannie how to apply make-up, even though she refuses to wear it. I went to parties, and kissed boys, and sat on her bed at 4 am, and told her all about it. And, I made her an Auntie first.

She was the first person to know I thought I was pregnant. she even bought the pregnancy test. She held my hand, as the pink line gave me the answer. Then she held my head while i cried. And all through the next year, which was my worst so far, she was there. She listened to a lot over the telephone. I know without a doubt I could tell Shannie anything. She never judges people, she always just listens. Sometimes I wish I could be more like her. She has the quiet, almost mysterious aura. She just radiates calmness. It's like she "knows." You just can't help but feel more relaxed in her presence.

I no longer have to Shannie's savior. She has grown a lot since high school. She moved away all on her own, has her own set of friends, found a boyfriend without my matchmaking, is starting her Childcare Worker career...has her own life. In a way I kind of miss being needed. But, she's my sister, and I'll always need her, and she'll always need me. Forever together, "The Girls."

Is this real life?

I am gonna do this. I am gonna just start screaming like a banshee in the drive thru line one of these days. I mean I feel like poor David after the Dentist...asking...is this real life? if you haven't seen dig er' up on ol' youtube!

Why on earth did I ever want to grow up! So over rated! What a farce this turned out to be. Everyday that postman delivers MORE bills. When will he stop with that? I give him my best scowl face. No affect on Mr. Insensitive. Oh I know it's just his job. It's the damn companies that just can't stop with the oversending! All the time!! Don't they know it just goes under the couch? What a waste of trees that is? This is NOT my favorite.

Than....My horn dog jizzes on another pillow. Or my bed. Or any friend that may come over. Small childern too. I'm talking about my actual factual dog here. Roll over in that one evening after a long day and see how THAT greets you. "Bleep, $#(@*, $*#*#, bleep, bleep, stupid masturbating dog!!!"

The "alien that's taken over my child" writes a list of 21 things I do wrong, (including that i only feed her seasonings and snacks aktma: (also known to Mom as) healthy food!) and signs it "Dude, and you thought I was rude!" And leaves it by the box of Kraft Dinner she insists I make her at midnite cus she wants tasty food. No banana's or pb and jelly for my princess! Oh, the
teen hormonal years. Being an adult may have it's flaws, but i surely don't miss that!! ~Plucks grey hair out~

Did I mention, my ex (alien teens dad) and his girlfriend are moving into my basement apartment for awhile.
And let's not forget the lil itsy bits inbetween! The dog now has green hair, from a blop of paint from project CN tower ($50 bucks at Micheals for styrofoam cones and balls?...she best be getting an A Mrs. Social Studies!) My new love....yes I'm in hearts and fuzzies place, ah happy love. I'll describe that in a later entry. The Case of the Nearly Broken Shoulder (The Klutz strikes again) sprained ankle, etc,etc,etc....ra.ra.ra. Curiouser and Curiouser?

Soap Operaville. Is my life a dramedy? A rom-com? A joke? I do find all this to be hilarious! And more than likely, it just " Is What it Is!"

"I feel funny! Why is this happening to me?," David says after the dentist.
I do believe the girled cheese has gotten a little bit funky!

The most important things in life aren't things...

http://efunoodles.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/free-hugs.jpgI want to hug the world. Just give it a big old squeeze....hug the stuffing right out of it, and everyone. Hugs make you feel safe, secure, and loved. And it's so simple to do. But I can't hug everyone's problems away, or make the ouchies of the world stop. But if you're reading this, then i urge you to put your right hand on your left shoulder, your left hand on your right shoulder. Good. Now squeeze!
And now, as an exercise in taking the focus off all the devastation and destruction take a look on the little things in your life that make you happy right now.

Here's what i came up with:

Music. All kinds of it. And the dancing to it. The close your eyes and just move dancing to it. And singing really loud in your car so the people at the red light look at you funny.
Dogs. always so happy to see me. They just live such a good life. Sleep, play, walk, eat, and start all over again!
Towels fresh from the dryer...so warm. Just like a hug if no one else is around to give you one.
Character band aids. Cuz nothing says boo boo be gone as well as a big bright pink Hello Kitty band-aid.
Slippers. Warm, fuzzy, stinky, comfy, cozy. Home.
Cheezies or Hickory Sticks. It'll take you right back to being a kid.
Any candy from your childhood for that matter. I prefer jawbreakers, lick a stick and Nerds.
Touch Lamps. Retro and so much fun to sit there and mess with.
11:11. There's something infinetly cool about it. And it's a chance to make a wish. But make it a good one.
Jumping on the bed. Childlike fun. and Free!!!
Soup. Any kind of soup you like. It's warm, tasty and just plain wonderful
Hitting every green light on the way home from work
Your favorite song on the radio on the way too!
Dip. Dipping things is fun. It's also a strange, tiny, fun lil word.
Hottubs and fireplaces, lipgloss, babies hands and feet, freshly cut grass, gingerbread houses, chocolate chip cookies, bounce dryer sheets, laughing kids, an old friend, movie theatre popcorn, sex, Tele-Toon Retro, garden gnomes, playing footsies, q-tips, nicknames, cloud watching, twirling until you get dizzy, swing sets, your kids when they are sleeping, garden gnomes, Shiraz, TV infomercials, Youtube in all it's glory, foot rubs, polar fleece, mini mitts, vitamin C, ice cream, the color purple, colored pens, tattoos, "that's what she said" moments, reality shows, painted toe nails, vanilla, favorite jeans that make your bum look 'hawt', OJ (the juice not the douche bag) new sheets, Fridays and Sundays, coffee and of course having the freedom to write whatever the hell i want in this blog!!

Now it's your turn.....

Oh ya...and xoxoxooxoxox!

Wait For It.....

I don't believe they didn't shut this down yet. Seriously...i haven't update since MAY and I have a grand slam total of 2 followers. Guess they knew I'd come back...with a pile of insane stories.

I HAVE been rather busy these past few months. Let's see...since May...seems like a long time ago, now that the white stuff is on the ground. And it's a whole friggin new year!! May, may have been green. Who knows....much of the time it feels like the phyncter of the universe...Just kidding...but seriously...the weather here is the SHITS! Regardless one can get into as much trouble here, as anywhere.
Trouble finds me consistently here anyway. The only majors that really stand out for me this summer are the 2 weddings I happened to partake in, and various events leading up to the wedding. Here....because it's the new decade. Pics

To explain, we am of course covering Corey Hart's legendary "Sunglasses at Night' with crutches as geee-tars. And the lovely ladies of the day, as well as showing off my Retro Princess dress. So fun to dress up. And of course share in the joy of 2 great friends and the lucky men who had the wise sense to marry them.

Moving on from fun. Then like Limmeny Snicketts Series of Misfortunate events...like all hell breaking loose, shit began to hit the fan. They say it goes in 3's. Not so much here. Starting with my Grandfather's passing. A sad time for all, but also a real celebration of a great character of life, and wonderful man. Also a blessing to not see someone you care for in anymore pain.

Speaking of pain...Handy Smurf also took this time to put on his running shoes and ran right the hell outta our marriage. I saw the bottoms of a few wine bottles. There was a text message letting me know we could split up things, as I was on the way to another major family event requiring professional portraits to be taken. I hope my nose wasn't too red. Maybe that's why i haven't seen those?

Followed promptly. by.. every mother's dreadful years descending in full. Like an alien spaceship hovered down one day opened the door and spat out what looks like my daughter but must be one of theirs. Yup..Lil Miss Not So Lil Anymore became a full blown teenage over the summer. Complete with attitude let me tell you. Truck loads of the stuff.

Speaking of trucks...or vehiculars in general....mine blew up at this time. Or I procastinated and THEN it blew up. I knew the shaking and 'klunk ker plunk a plunka' noise it made was a bad, bad thing. But I was a bit focused on other things.

Oh, and I came down with "what the doctors don't know what it is yet, but it's really made me sick and skinny diesease. " Otherwise probably called "STRESS". Leaving me discussing intestinal noises and pooping alot more than I am comfortable explaining to my massive amounts of followers. :P And giving the finger to stress in general for all it does to make people ill. Truth be told I am giving the finger to many things lately. I NEED an agressive hobby. In the meantime 'Supreme Deer Hunter" on ye ol' Facebook has been getting alot of love from me!! Yes...i make gun noises and mimic Dirty Hairy alot. ...so what!? It's good therapy. Try it!!

I have developed, "Spends alot of time alone hobbies" that I've always wanted to do. I paint (and I might add I'm a regular Picasso masterpiece wielding artist if I might say so myself) and I also have been studying up on natural medicine, yoga and all things New Agey and calm. After shooting fake deers, one needs to find peace and forgiveness after all.

I've learned alot, about friendship, love, life and death, commitment, parenting, family. That these are the things that make up who I am. Alot has been revealed to me and continues to be...and I'm so into this new year thing. I have major plans of course for this one! Blog more was actually one i wrote down!! No kidding. Just wait for it......I hope to have much more cheerful episodes for you coming up right after this next commercial break....

Vamp snowman which aptly melted when the sun came up, and my e-christmas card...i was saving the environment by not sending cards. And being cheap.
